Sergio Mateos Angulo was born in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain. He received his B.S. degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC) in 2015, when he presented his B.D. Dissertation “Design of a Receiver Front-end for the IEEE 802.15.4 standard in 0.18 μm CMOS Technology”, rated with honours. In 2016 he received his M.S. degree in Telecommunications Engineering also from the ULPGC, when he presented his M.D. Dissertation “Physical Implementation and Verification of a Receiver Front-End for the IEEE 802.15.4 Standard in 0.18 μm CMOS Technology”, also rated with honours.
Since 2015 he has been with the Microelectronic Technologic Division (RFIC Group) of the Institute for Applied Microelectronics (IUMA), at the ULPGC. His research interests include high-frequency integrated circuits for telecommunications, with special attention to radiation hardened-by-design circuits and the analysis of the effects caused by radiation in these circuits.
