I received my PhD from the Institute for Applied Microelectronics (IUMA) at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC) in 2015, being awarded in the ULPGC Outstanding Doctoral Thesis Awards in 2016. I hold a degree in Communications Engineering (2007) and a degree in Electronics Engineering (2009) from the ULPGC. I was granted with a national award to the best Master Thesis in the Official National Telecommunications Engineering Association annual awards (2008). My research interests are in the areas of image and video enhancement and their related statistics in a wide range of applications.

I have combined my professional career among private sector, public sector and the university, working for four years as a Technical Project Manager for the installation of Air Traffic Control systems in the company Indra (2007-11), and then from 2011 to 2015 as a Project Manager (PRINCE2® Practitioner accredited, MSP® Foundation accredited and ITIL 2011® accredited) and from 2016 to 2018 as Dissemination and Training Coordinator at the Oceanic Platform of the Canary Islands (PLOCAN) and Anova IT Consulting, an SME. Moreover, I also worked as Associate Professor at the ULPGC from 2015 to 2019.
